Book Blogger Hop/Updates

Another week, another hop. Brooke's Box of Books has been a bit dry this week. Did you know there are only 7 days left to shop for Christmas! Good luck to all those who are behind! The bookstore has been CRAZY with patrons with long lists of books they are in need of. Remember, if you are going to a bookstore and hear that a book is out of stock or have to wait in line for help, be kind to the bookseller!!!

I'll be working on posts that should go live on the blog next week, so there will be basic stuff happening here. With Christmas AND my birthday next week, things may get hectic!!!

And onto the hop!

Book Blogger Hop

The question is:
What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?

Answer: I like a good mix of both, actually! Books that fit that bill? 'Hex Hall', 'The Grimm Legacy', and 'Knightley Academy'.

I think plot and characters are both important...Leaving Paradise by Simone Elkeles is a perfect example! :D

Happy Friday, Brooke!

Hey Brooke, just hopping on by! I wondered about Knightley Academy but I haven't heard a lot about it - nice to know that it gets a recommendation from you :)

Oh gosh, Christmas is that soon? It's totally sneaking up on me. I have to get my cards sent out!

Hope you have a happy birthday (and get separate gifts for birthday and Christmas. As a December 31st baby, I always used to get combined gifts. Such a rip off :P ).

Oooh, I'm glad you mention Knightley Academy! I have it on my TBR, but I've heard practically nothing about the book. Good to know it fits the good characters and good plot bill!

No big chance of the bookstores here getting packed with people but the jewelery and perfume stores? o.o be careful if you're doing last minute Christmas shopping lol. I just called ordered some books from the store (so happy I can do that) and they'll be here next Thursday!

A good mixture of both plot in character is definitely needed for a great book :) I agree. I think Kelley Armstrong does this very well.

All- Thanks for stopping by! Merry Christmas!

Danya and Small Review: I highly recommend Knightley Academy! I hope you enjoy the read as much as I did! It deserves to have more readers!!! Also, Small Review, I have some Christmas cards I have yet to send, too. :p

Sandy- Wow, Thursday is cutting it a bit close! I'm waiting on an art commission that the artist forgot was meant to be a Christmas gift. *forehead slap*
