Book Blogger Hop/Updates

Hi Guys! Welcome to 2011!!!

This week for me has brought me into a little debt-- brought upon by my mom saying, "It's a Byer's skirt! You have to try it on!" Well, I did try on the skirt and a number of other things that (remarkably) fit me well! Since I'm a tough size, I decided I should add the clothes to my collection and, well, I have lots of nice sweaters and skirts now. :) Just not so much money.

Plus, there's that Asian Ball Jointed Doll I want to buy sometime this month...

Book Blogger Hop

The Question Is:
What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?

Answer:
Influenced or changed my life... This is a tough one. Let me go with 'influence', more so than 'change'. I'd have to choose 'Twilight'. It was the first book where I really interacted with other readers. In the past, I had never really had many books that I could talk about to a huge group of people and have them know what I was talking about! It was quite a change when 'Twilight' came along because so many people from so many different age ranges read it. That whole reading experience was pretty interactive.  'Twilight' and that wave of interaction led to me reviewing for Amazon and eventually starting this little blog.

Come back soon and look forward to a giveaway starting on the 14th as part of a giveaway hop!!!

I think a lot of people will pick Twilight. Love or hate the books, I don't think anyone can deny that they have sparked a huge discussion and brought a lot of attention to YA. I think those are great things!

Book Angel/Small Review- I was a bit worried I'd be chastised for my choice because Twilight is by no meas a heavy, emotional, life changing tale. It's fun to see that I was on the same wavelength as others!

Precious- I'll take a peek at your giveaway later this weekend!

All- Have a good hop!

The social aspect of reading is something a lot of people underestimate. I think that's why I love blogging so much. My nephew just started kindergarten and he made his first friend on the bus to school because they had Harry Potter in common.

Thanks for stopping by on the Book Hop! I think that Twilight and Harry Potter are responsible for introducing or rekindling a love of books for many people. YAH!

It seems as though a lot of people picked Twilight. I think it's interesting how that book in particular turned so many people towards blogging! I don't have such a nameable reason for blogging myself...it just seemed like something to do. But I think it's awesome that a book was able to influence you so much :)
