This Week on the Blog:
Heads UP! Twilight: The Graphic Novel Vol. 2
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Trailer
And now, the Hops...
The Question of the Week is:
When did you realize reading was your passion and a truly important part of your life?
Answer: I've loved reading since third grade-- the year I participated in Battle of the Books. While I occasionally (*cough*this week*cough*) take a short break, reading has gotten me through the best of times and the worst of times. You can always count on a book, I think! There's not one moment that I can mention that made me realize my 'passion' for reading. It has always been such a constant that I couldn't imagine NOT loving reading and loving talking about things I've read.
The Question of the Week is:
What is your favorite fairy tale or story that revolves around the fae?
Answer: As far as my favorite fairytale is concerned, I think I'd have to go with Beauty and the Beast alla Walt Disney or Thumbelina. I just love the stories.
I also quite like the original Brothers Grimm stuff-- so macabre! When it comes to reads, 'Tithe' is a great fae tale. Aprilynne Pike's series is quite addicting.
Till next week!

Ah!!! Ok, I'm going to try and not completely nerd out in this comment but you just mentioned two of my favorite animated movies and I just can't help myself!! I feel like Thumbelina is so underrated; I never hear of anyone who recognizes that movie anymore. My friend and I always quote lines from "Let Me Be Your Wings" haha. And Belle is hands down my favorite princess. Ok, I'm done!
New Follower! Happy Friday from the book element!
Fun answers. I just finished Wings & Spells and thought they were cute. :) And yay for Beauty & the Beast. I loved the music from that one.
Happy Friday!

Hopping by from the Hop!
I can't pick a particular moment where I was just like, "I love reading!" because it's been a constant in my life since I can remember.

Hi! I'm Izzy, and I'm stopping by your blog on the Blog Hop. :) I'm not sure what Battle of the Books is, but I think it's really awesome that a program (or whatever it is) got you started on reading! For me, I've just always been a reader.
My Words Ate Me
I definitely love the Disney fairytales!
When did I first realize I loved reading? I wish I could prove a pre-natal predilection towards books but my memories don’t stretch back quite that far.
The earliest memories I can recall involved books. First having them read to me then reading them on my own the minute I had the ability.
Books have been a major part of my life ever since. My passion for the written word knowing no bounds, I started writing books on top of reading them about ten years ago.

Hey there, I found your blog via Follow Friday, and I'm your latest follower!
If you get a moment, head over to Teen Fiction Centre and have a look around!
It's funny, when fairy tales were mentioned Disney stories didn't even cross my mind. Thumbelina is so overlooked.
Third grade was a turning point for me as well with my reading. But that's not what I decided to write about for this post. I realized how important books had become in my life in 1999. Come see what happened.
I love the classic fairy-tale and yeah a touch of the macabre makes them golden!
I so like the morbid feel of the Grimm Brother's stories.
I am a huge Tim Burton lover so I like it when that morbid-ness mixes with magic.
My favorite fairy-tales are Sleeping Beauty and Little Red Riding Hood.
I have just started my own book blog and it would mean the world to me if you drop by and follow!
