The concept behind the Question of the Month is simple. I ask a question and you chime in with your responses! Not too complicated, but always fun!
The Question of the Month is: The third book in the Twilight Saga came to the big screen recently. What did you think of 'Eclipse', the movie? Was it better than the book? Worse? What was your favorite (or least favorite) bit? Share your thoughts!
I didn't mean to see Eclipse opening weekend. Actually, I was dead-set against it. As mentioned multiple times, I'm a recovered Twi-hard, keyword: recovered. My aunt, however, is a little more obsessed. When she and my (reluctant) uncle asked if I wanted to go to the theater to see it, I couldn't really say no. They were my only hope of seeing it as part of a group! (I don't like seeing movies by myself. I will, but it's always more fun with people you know!) So, long story short, I saw it opening day.
Overall, I enjoyed it more than the first two. I still don't think I'll be buying it on DVD anytime soon, but the fact that we weren't so inside Bella's head in the movie version of Eclipse helped the story a lot. Also helping Eclipse is the fact that Rob Pattinson smiles! I like seeing happy Edward! Charlie was priceless and always funny. He's always a welcome sight in these movie adaptations. And as for the Cullens, it was nice getting to see Jasper for more than a minute, though his accent sounded odd and a bit distracting. So, like I said, overall it may be the best of the movies so far. It's not anything I need to re-watch tomorrow, but it wasn't a complete waste of my money.
There's my answer-- now for yours!

Question of the Month
The concept behind the Question of the Month is simple. I ask a question and you chime in with your responses! Not too complicated, but always fun!
The Question of the Month is: Have you ever picked up a book because the 'book trailer' made it sound neat? Have book trailers become something you look for before purchasing a book?
I'm a big fan of The Vampire Diaries on the CW. Last week between oogling Damon and Stephan, I was happily surprised to see a book trailer for "Fallen" by Lauren Kate during the commercial break. While I've never had a book trailer sell me a book right off the bat, I do enjoy viewing them and think they'll be getting better and better as the book trailer industry grows.

Question of the Month
The concept behind the Question of the Month is simple. I ask a question and you chime in with your responses! Not too complicated, but always fun!
This months question centers around books and movies. Is there a movie you hate because of how far it drifted from the source material? Is there a movie where, while it did drift, you still enjoy it?
One of my favorite movies is 'The Neverending Story'. I watched this movie many times before reading the original source material by Michael Ende. For that reason, I don't care how much it drifted from the source material because Bastian and the rest have already touched me in a way all favorite movies should. I have read the book plenty of times and love that, too, but it will never change my opinion of the movie.
On the flipside, I find it hard, vary hard, to watch 'The Seeker', the movie adapted from The Dark Is Rising, by Susan Cooper. It seems the screenwriter in charge of adapting this awesome book thought the best way to bring it to the screen was to re-write the whole thing minus the character names. We still have Will Stanton, Merriman, The Rider, but the story is nothing like the book. It was completely re-written into something far too different from the source material for me to watch without cringing or (sorry) laughing at all the silly things the characters do. In my humble opinion, that screenwriter should never adapt anything ever again. EVER.
There you have it. What are you picks?

Question of the Month
The concept behind the Question of the Month is simple. I ask a question and you chime in with your responses! Not too complicated, but always fun!
The Question of the Month is: Do you have a book or book series that you just can't get through but really want to finish?
My Answer: Little Women. I received the book as a Christmas gift years ago and have started it a good number of times, but something about the style never pulls me in enough to finish it. I have all three books in the trilogy and am determined to finish it. I keep hoping if I save it till I'm older, I'll be more drawn in, but that hasn't worked yet. :p
Now it's your turn!
